[ what the hell is he supposed to say to this? Sasuke and Naruto haven't had this conversation in all the timne they've been here. in reality, he's only told Sakura that he plans to stay. he stares at the message for a while. ]

[ it actually calms her some, these responses. they're so predictable for him that it eases her nerves. ]

[ the relief is almost crushing, and Sasuke is glad he has the privacy of the outside because he physically stops and briefly raises his hand to his eyes.

what is this feeling? it seems like so much more than relief.
