[ naruto hadn't had much luck sleeping the night of their arrival, but it'd been easy enough to blame it on nerves. trying to get used to a new place, the loss of their friends.

but the second night rolled around and naruto still found himself flat on his back, staring at the sliver of light that came in from the window. he's never been good at staying still anyway. when sasuke finally gets around to opening the door, naruto has his arms folded over his chest, and his jacket hangs open. there's dirt- prettttty much everywhere, but given how hard he trains, this isn't much of a surprise. it hides some amount of the shadows under his eyes at any rate- not that it was a conscious effort on his part. ]
